Guidewire Business Analyst

Here's a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities you'll have :

• Act as an intermediary between business and technology teams to collect, analyze and document business and functional needs;
• Participate in business process analysis and recommend solutions to improve operational efficiency and business value;
• Translate business needs into user stories, business rules, functional specifications and other deliverables necessary to achieve solutions;
• Prepare impact analyses, process diagrams and functional documentation supporting the design and delivery of solutions;
• Collaborate with developers, quality specialists, architectural consultants and business partners to ensure a common understanding of needs and solutions;
• Contribute to the analysis, design, planning, and implementation of Guidewire solutions;
• Define test cases and support functional validation and user acceptance activities;
• Follow up on incidents, evolution requests and functional issues in collaboration with the teams concerned;
• Support the resolution of production issues and support users when required;
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, practices and delivery methods.

The profile you are looking for is as follows:

• Bachelor's degree in administration, computer science, information systems or a relevant discipline;
• Have a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in business analysis or functional analysis, including five years as a systems business analyst with the Guidewire platform;
• Experience in the field of property and casualty insurance;
• Proficient in collecting, analyzing and documenting business and functional requirements;
• Write user stories, functional specifications, business rules and impact analyses;
• Be familiar with Agile delivery approaches as well as the preparation and execution of functional and user acceptance tests;
• Hold Guidewire ACE certification;
• Possess an advanced level of English due to the nature of the tasks, work tools or interactions with English-speaking partners, members or clienteles;
• Knowledge of application integration concepts as well as REST, SOAP, XML and JSON technologies;
• Master business processes in damage insurance;
• Use collaboration and management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, and the Microsoft Office suite;
• Learn about the underwriting, billing or claims processes for damage insurance.
