Job description
- Advise and support business teams and digital squads on the accessibility of digital content and solutions;
- Assess the compliance of solutions with applicable accessibility standards;
- Test the accessibility of web applications, mobile applications, and design system components;
- Develop recommendations, solutions and action plans to improve the experience of users with disabilities;
- Document accessibility anomalies and follow up on their resolution with development teams;
- Answer questions from the various stakeholders involved in digital accessibility;
- Contribute to the creation of tools and practices that promote team autonomy;
- Perform non-regression tests on design system components and document the results in Confluence;
- Create or adapt HTML examples to validate the required behaviors and test scenarios.
- Hold an undergraduate degree in e-commerce, administration, computer science, project management or an equivalent field;
- Have a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience;
- Have experience in accessibility testing and bug documentation;
- Experience in designing accessible digital solutions;
- Have experience in accessibility testing and bug documentation;
- Understanding web and mobile constraints;
- Be able to determine conceptual requirements (design) as well as techniques for implementing accessibility in Web projects;
- Be able to use screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack, etc.);
- Effectively enforce WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2 success criteria;
- Master HTML and its semantics;
- Know the ADA, AODA, SGQRI requirements and similar standards;
- Mastering Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA).
