Job description
• Collect analytical needs expressed by users;
• Design and build systems and data collection platforms;
• Perform data pipeline development, integration, transformation and consolidation of data from different systems;
• Perform data mapping specification and documentation;
• Implement, monitor, maintain and optimize systems that meet business needs;
• Use a variety of scripting languages and tools to enable the storage and production of complex datasets;
• Develop algorithms, prototypes and proofs of concept for complex projects;
• Identify opportunities for system optimization and recommend evolutions to data management departments.
The profile you are looking for is as follows:
• Have a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience;
• Have at least four (4) years of experience in implementing solutions with Databricks;
• Have good experience with Azure cloud solutions, including Spark, Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and GitHub;
• Have relevant experience with ETL tools and best practices for data extraction, transformation and loading;
• Participate in at least one full implementation, implementation, or migration to Databricks;
• Knowledge of data security, including data access and protection models (an asset);
• Master Lakehouse and Medallion architectures;
• Demonstrate strategic thinking and leadership in the implementation of data solutions;
• Mastering interpersonal relationships;
• Knowledge of agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban;
• Be proficient in Python and know SAS (an asset);
• Know databases, SQL, T-SQL and stored procedures and functions;
• Knowledge of solution diagrams (an asset).
