Job description
- Contribute to the enterprise architecture and design of technology, networking, and telecommunications infrastructures, taking into account the functional needs, scalability, performance, and security requirements of mobility solutions;
- Supervise the design and implementation of infrastructure, networking and telecommunications needs in order to meet evolving needs, the organization's technological targets and overall quality requirements;
- Develop the architectural practice in his/her field by monitoring trends, standards and best practices, and defining the directives, orientations and principles to which solutions must conform;
- Act as a consultant and resource person to stakeholders, including senior management, as required by the area of expertise;
- Contribute to the experimentation, commissioning and operation of technological and cloud computing environments, in collaboration with service providers, to ensure the delivery of high-performance infrastructures;
- Participate in architecture tables and ensure the quality of the documentation of architectural alignments in order to validate solutions at the different stages of their development and support the implementation of the IT strategic plan;
- Contribute, as needed, to the diagnosis and resolution of complex operational problems;
- Participate in the evolution of the roadmap of his/her business field, as well as in risk and cost/benefit analyses.
- Hold a university degree in information technology, computer engineering or equivalent experience;
- Have a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in information technology and technology architecture. The nature of the files requires extensive and in-depth expertise in several technological and/or business areas, including data, applications and infrastructure;
- Master the technological architecture related to business solutions, including context, technological, networking, software, automation, quality and security views, from design to operations;
- Master telecommunications principles, network topologies and their configurations, including LAN, MAN, WAN, VLAN, SD-WAN, switching, segmentation, access lists, MPLS, VPN and mobile networks;
- Know the communications security components and perimeters of technology zones, including firewalls, load balancers, application firewalls, and gateways;
- Demonstrate a good knowledge of market security standards and frameworks and their applicability in the enterprise, including NIST CSF, ISO 27001 and PCI;
- Be proficient in the technologies and practices of at least one major cloud provider (e.g., GCP or Azure), including interconnectivity options such as ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, or Google Cross-Cloud Interconnect, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments, and SD-WAN technologies (e.g., Fortinet);
- Proficiency in SDLC, DevSecOps, SRE, CI/CD, GitOps, and IaC practices, as well as software development lifecycle technologies, including GitHub and Terraform;
- Demonstrate an ability to write architectural positions and guidelines, as well as to collaborate in the drafting of guidelines, guides and procedures;
- Master the full lifecycle of multitier technologies, both in a cloud environment and in a traditional on-premise environment;
- Demonstrate expertise in storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and storage accounts;
- Possess a very good knowledge of enterprise and technology architecture modeling in order to initiate projects, in particular using the TOGAF framework, repositories, solution cost of ownership analyses and modeling tools;
- Demonstrate excellent analytical and synthesis skills, as well as the ability to make recommendations;
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms from more than one major vendor (asset);
- Knowledge of the SAFe® framework, Agile development methods, and Agile modeling (asset);
- This position requires working primarily in French, while requiring a functional command of English for daily tasks. This English proficiency is essential for understanding documentation and ensuring professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada.
