Job description
Here's a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities you'll have :
- Design, develop and implement applications and software packages that meet the needs of users;
- To ensure the quality, reliability and integrity of data by performing controls, validations and automation of processing processes;
- Extract data from multiple systems;
- Clean and transform data;
- Collaborate with quality assurance analysts to perform testing, including regression testing, and correct identified anomalies;
- Maintain code by deploying required updates and fixing reported incidents;
- Perform code reviews and participate in reviews performed by other team members.
The profile you are looking for is as follows:
- Possess between six (6) and ten (10) years of relevant experience;
- Master data modeling, including star models and Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD);
- Have experience with data feeds;
- Master good programming practices and unit testing;
- Be familiar with a source code management tool, such as GitHub;
- Proficient in development practices, including peer review, unit testing, and CI/CD processes;
- Be familiar with Agile and/or SAFe methodologies;
- Have an intermediate knowledge of PySpark or Spark;
- Have an intermediate knowledge of Python;
- Master Git, Docker and Power BI;
- Have knowledge of cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure;
- Knowledge of architecture deliverables, including solution documents, block diagrams, technology diagrams, and data modeling (an asset);
- Experience with architectural tools (an asset);
- Knowledge of data modeling (an asset);
- Knowledge of Big Data practices (an asset).
- Knowledge of web development technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS (an asset);
- Knowledge of other programming languages or new technologies (an asset);
- Experience with GitHub Copilot (an asset);
