Job description
- Design, develop and implement applications and software packages that meet users' needs;
- Analyze business needs based on the functional and technical specifications provided;
- Develop software solutions in accordance with good programming practices;
- Perform the necessary unit tests to ensure the quality of the code;
- Collaborate with QA analysts to correct identified anomalies;
- Maintain and evolve existing applications through patches and updates;
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices;
- Develop and optimize data feeds in a cloud environment;
- Design data visualization and analysis solutions with Power BI;
- Contribute to data modeling and processing.
The profile you are looking for is as follows:
- Hold a college diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
- Have between six (6) and ten (10) years of experience in software development;
- Master good programming practices and unit testing;
- Demonstrate expertise with Power BI;
- Have experience in data processing and modeling;
- Contribute to the industrialization of data flows;
- Use advanced Power BI features, including access management, apps, and RLS;
- Be proficient in a source code management tool such as Git or GitHub;
- Apply development practices such as code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines;
- Be familiar with Agile methodologies and SAFe frameworks;
- Have intermediate experience with PySpark or Spark;
- Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Python;
- Use Git and Docker in a development context;
- Understand cloud environments and master at least two platforms, ideally Azure or GCP;
- Knowledge of solution deliverables, functional diagrams, technology diagrams and data modeling (an asset);
- Knowledge of solution tools (an asset);
- Experience in data modeling is an asset);
- Understanding Big Data practices (an asset);
- Demonstrate knowledge of web development (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS) (an asset);
- Knowledge of other programming languages or emerging technologies is an asset;
- Use Copilot and GitHub (an asset);
- Demonstrate motivation, a positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.
