Job description

Here is a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities that will fall to you:

HR partnership and manager support

  • Act as an HR partner to managers by supporting them in their management, mobilization, work climate, talent development and labour relations issues.
  • Advise, influence and support decision-making by taking into account the organization's orientations, internal practices and the Quebec legal framework.
  • Collect facts, analyze situations and support managers in their interventions, particularly in sensitive or complex files related to labour relations.
  • Participate in the development of intervention plans and ensure the required follow-ups, particularly in terms of meetings, documentation and implementation.
  • Ensure the uniform application of HR policies, practices and decisions in the supported sectors.
  • Maintain a proactive presence with managers by setting up regular exchanges in order to anticipate issues and ensure sustained follow-up.
  • Collaborate with managers in planning and supporting return-to-work.
Evolution of HR practices
  • Contribute to the evolution, harmonization and implementation of HR practices in line with organizational orientations and realities on the ground.
  • Develop tools, training and approaches that promote the autonomy of managers in the exercise of their responsibilities.
  • Support and monitor the implementation of corporate initiatives in terms of HR management and practices.
  • Collaborate with the teams concerned to develop the intervention frameworks and ensure rigorous, consistent management that complies with legal obligations.
  • Share expertise within the HR team and contribute to the development of professional reflexes and best practices.
Organizational Development and Change
  • Identify organizational issues and propose ways to improve the structure, management practices and mobilization of teams.
  • Coordinate or support HR projects aimed at changing practices, ensuring planning, monitoring and structured implementation.
  • Contribute to the alignment between the needs of the field, organizational orientations and corporate initiatives.
  • Support teams in changes by promoting understanding, buy-in and integration of new practices.
  • Facilitate reflection or engagement workshops as needed to support collaboration and improved management practices.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a healthy and respectful work climate, in particular by supporting managers in the prevention and management of relational issues.
  • Play a key role in the application of the psychological harassment prevention policy and in supporting the parties concerned.
Talent Management, Compensation, and Equity
  • Contribute to talent assessment using the tools provided and support managers in interpreting the results.
  • Provide professional feedback to inform decisions related to development, positioning, and internal movements.
  • Support managers in their reflections around appointments and internal mobility.
  • Contribute to the evolution of compensation practices in line with the issues of attraction, retention and internal equity.
  • Analyze market data and support decisions related to job offers, salary adjustments, and internal movements.
  • Support managers in their compensation decisions by ensuring consistency with internal practices and fairness principles.
  • Collaborate on pay equity exercises with the corporate team.
The profile we are looking for is as follows: 

Education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 9-12 years of experience in human resources, including at least 3 years in a similar role.
  • Significant experience in labour relations and in advising managers in dealing with sensitive and complex situations.
  • Member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA).
  • Good command of the Microsoft 365 environment and HR systems.
  • Atman certification, an asset.
  • Experience in a professional services, consulting or information technology firm is an asset.
  • Ability to evolve in a changing environment.
  • Experience working with managers or senior management.
  • Ability to translate organizational issues into concrete and applicable solutions.
  • This position is part of a predominantly French-speaking work environment. However, it requires a functional command of English in order to ensure collaboration with other offices across Canada.
