Job description
- Develop, monitor and adjust budget forecasts by value stream and or project portfolio
- Produce deviation analyses (plan vs. actual) and recommend corrective measures
- Support the preparation of public reports and audits
- Maintain built-in reporting dashboards (financials, performance, value)
- Consolidate data from Team Coaches and Epic Managers for VMO
- Support investment decisions (Stop / Reorient / Continue)
- Collaborate with the VMO and the LPM committee for financial traceability
- Participate in budget prioritization according to strategic objectives
- Ensure data availability and quality
- Modernize control practices with Power BI, Planisware, etc.
- Develop simplified and standardized rendering templates
- Identify automation opportunities
- Promote rendering as a tool for steering, not compliance
- Assist Team Coaches in the use of indicators
- Contribute to a Lean-agile management culture focused on civic value.
- Hold an undergraduate degree in IT, accounting, finance, administration or project management
- Have experience in project control
- Know SAFe/PLM frameworks and Lean-Agile budgeting principles
- Understand public accountability and audit obligations
- Proficiency in advanced Excel, Power BI, ERP (SAP), Agile and Planisware tools (an asset)
- Demonstrate a senior profile in budget monitoring, financial analysis or project governance
- Master's degree in project management is an asset
- Have PMP, LPM or SAFe certification an asset
- Experience in public transit or public environments, an asset
