Job description
- Lead and conduct operational meetings related to production for different components (weekly or bi-monthly follow-up meetings, change management committees, KPI follow-ups and production metrics);
- Provide local application technical support for applications under responsibility;
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to escalate and resolve technical component incidents;
- Contribute to the preparation of management and governance committees (operational committees, governance forums, project committees, etc.);
- Organize and supervise the team's activities by promoting a customer-oriented, collaborative, efficient and simplicity-oriented approach;
- Analyze and evaluate user feedback in order to implement continuous improvement processes for quality of service;
- Ensure constant alignment between IT teams and end users;
- Manage production-related escalations for all applications and drive communications with stakeholders;
- Coordinate service delivery, disaster recovery (DR) and IT continuity activities, ensuring compliance with established processes and guidelines;
- Ensure that incident, change and problem management activities comply with established frameworks and procedures
- Lead service review meetings with internal teams and business users on performance, quality, processes and improvements;
- Interact with IT and business stakeholders to discuss exceptions, issues and priorities, while ensuring regular and consistent communication;
- Identify and structure governance requirements (meeting cadences, governance committees, monitoring mechanisms);
- Oversee APS audit, risk and control frameworks, as well as operational mode assessments (BAU);
- Prioritize and oversee CTB and RTB initiatives aimed at improving productivity, costs and efficiency;
- Participate in the organization of operational committees in order to present the status of activities and raise issues related to production support.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in information technology, including at least three (3) years in a production environment role;
- Experience in a financial institution IT environment and demonstrate a good knowledge of the financial industry and its products;
- Master Linux/Unix environments;
- Demonstrate strong experience with Oracle and SQL;
- Have a good knowledge of ITSM processes;
- Understand U.S. regulatory risk and compliance requirements as well as financial reporting software;
- Use monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Geneos;
- Leverage Microsoft Office tools for reporting and presentations;
- Develop and maintain Shell and Python scripts for process automation;
- Use the ServiceNow tool;
- Have an understanding of recent financial regulatory initiatives such as Basel II, Basel III, Dodd-Frank Act and CCAR (an asset);
- Advanced knowledge of fixed income trading systems (an asset).
