Job description
- Translate DevOps/SRE operational practices into concrete, simple, and adoptable processes;
- Design reusable templates and standards (incident management, support, release, monitoring);
- Ensure alignment between agile practices, DevOps, and ITIL frameworks;
- Continuously improve the operational efficiency of teams;
- Formalize and standardize practices from the DevOps/SRE field (incident management, post-mortem, alert management, support);
- Design flow-oriented processes compatible with CI/CD cycles;
- Set up operational templates (runbooks, playbooks, post-mortem templates, SLA/SLO);
- Collaborate directly with technical teams to understand operational realities;
- Simplify and adapt ITIL processes to make them lightweight, automatable, and DevOps-enabled;
- Promote reliability practices (SLO, error budget, continuous improvement);
- Identify operational irritants and propose concrete and pragmatic solutions.
- Accumulate fifteen (15) years of significant experience in information technology:
- Have at least five (5) years of experience in process improvement and Lean approach;
- Experience in implementing or improving business processes;
- Have knowledge of DevOps, SRE, or modern application operations environments;
- Have experience in CI/CD and continuous delivery environments;
- Demonstrate an ability to transform informal practices into structured processes;
- Experience as a developer, SRE specialist, or active member of a DevOps team, as well as experience implementing SRE practices (asset);
- Have real-world experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus or Grafana, as well as with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins (asset);
- Experience with incident management tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or PagerDuty, as well as experience in large-scale DevOps transformations (asset);
- This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada. French and English language skills are essential, both oral and written.
