Job description
- Develop and deploy features in Scrum mode, ensuring maximum value for our business partners by meeting non-functional requirements as well as the level of service expected by the company;
- Create innovative technology solutions and ensure the quality of deliverables by validating solutions through automated unit testing;
- Solve a variety of technical challenges and actively participate in improving the architecture of our applications;
- Work with product teams (POs) to translate needs into functional solutions;
- Experiment and run proofs of concepts (POCs);
- Challenge the architecture design to enable efficient operation and high availability of deployed technology solutions;
- Lead incidents and organize post-mortems for incidents;
- Keep technical documentation up to date;
- Share technical expertise and contribute to the development of team members' skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant field, with three (3) to five (5) years of experience in software development;
- Experience with AWS cloud technology (service development, deployment, automation, and operations);
- Have knowledge of agile methodology to adopt and adopt software development best practices, such as automated testing, review code and DevOps techniques;
- Have an in-depth knowledge of Observability and Monitoring principles with Datadog, Cloud Watch and Splunk tools;
- Demonstrate strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Java 8+, as well as UI frameworks such as Angular or React;
- Have an excellent command of Microservices and API architectures with Java (Spring Boot), including integrations with JMS/IBM MQ/Kafka;
- Have a good grasp of best practices and DevOps tools (IaC, GIT, JSON, YAML, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, Junit, GitHubAction/Harnes, HELM, Ansible, Terraform, HashiCorp Vault);
- Have a good command of technologies such as Postgres, MongoDB, Istio, Redis, SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as AWS cloud technologies;
- Have a good command of quality testing methodology as well as security concepts (KMS, SSO, data encryption);
- This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, documentation comprehension and professional communication with the customers, suppliers and colleagues across Canada. Language skills in French and English are essential, both oral and written.
