Job description
- Ensure the delivery of projects and programs on time, on budget, on scope and to quality standards;
- Lead, define and coordinate project initiatives in alignment with strategic objectives;
- Establish and monitor performance indicators (KPIs) and produce progress reports;
- Proactively identify, assess and mitigate risks;
- Resolve project issues to minimize delivery impacts;
- Contribute to the analysis and validation of business cases;
- Make recommendations regarding the start-up, extension or closure of projects;
- Manage budgets and financial aspects of projects throughout their lifecycle;
- Collaborate with solutions, finance, procurement, projects and operations teams;
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and IT partners;
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies;
- Plan and coordinate the transition from projects to operations;
- Manage IT projects related to the fields of supply chain, manufacturing, logistics and distribution;
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications;
- Facilitate workshops, design sessions and solution reviews;
- Manage vendors, contracts, and service level commitments;
- Support change management, communication, training and operational readiness activities;
- Oversee data conversion and migration initiatives;
- Coordinate unit testing, integration, user acceptance, deployments and stabilization periods;
- Act as the main point of contact between business users, IT teams and suppliers;
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary, local, international and supplier teams;
- Manage teams with shared responsibilities across multiple projects.
The profile you are looking for is as follows:
- Have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in IT project management;
- Experience in managing programs involving multiple project teams;
- Demonstrate experience in large organizations;
- Proficiency in IT systems related to human resources, engineering, services, finance and legal affairs;
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS (an asset);
- Experience with BI solutions and data warehouses (an asset);
- Have expertise in engineering systems such as PLM, MES, CAD, CAE or ECM;
- Understand on-premises and cloud SAP environments and integration mechanisms;
- Master ETL concepts and data migration processes;
- Be familiar with organizational change management practices;
- Have experience in application delivery and service maintenance;
- Use Microsoft Project Online (an asset);
- Hold a PMP certification (an asset);
- Understand project governance principles, RAID registries, and reporting;
- Be able to manage and communicate performance and quality indicators;
- Adapt your communication approach to different audiences;
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary, international and supplier teams;
- Manage supplier mandates and ensure deadlines are met;
- Be organized, rigorous and results-oriented;
- Working independently in a complex matrix environment;
- Adapt to a dynamic and ever-changing environment;
- Know business process mapping and optimization;
- Demonstrate expertise in risk management, change management and contract management;
- Use data to support decision-making;
- This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation and professional communication with customers, suppliers and colleagues across Canada. Language skills in French and English are essential, both oral and written.
