Project Manager – SAP S/4HANA Migration

Job description
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines and resource allocation, in alignment with overall program milestones;
- Implement and maintain RAID registries (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies);
- Ensure compliance with the SAP Activate methodology and internal governance frameworks;
- Oversee all phases of the upgrade cycle: preparation, sandbox testing, development, quality assurance (QA) and release;
- Coordinate built-in testing (validation, regression, performance);
- Manage change control processes and ensure business continuity during and after the upgrade;
- Act as the main point of contact between IT teams, business process owners, SAP consultants, BASIS teams and external vendors;
- Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management;
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks;
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, especially in sectors such as pharmaceuticals or life sciences;
- Drive change management activities, training and documentation preparation;
- Support user adoption as well as the post-upgrade stabilization phase.
- Hold a PMP certification, PRINCE2 or equivalent;
- Demonstrate SAP certifications (an asset, but not mandatory);
- More than ten (10) years of experience in SAP project management;
- Have proven experience with SAP S/4HANA upgrade projects (e.g., from 2020/2021 versions to 2023 or later);
- Experience in highly regulated environments (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences) (an asset);
- Experience in multi-vendor coordination and governance of global projects;
- Demonstrate experience in integration (an asset);
- Experience in complex integration environments and remediation of custom code;
- Have an excellent knowledge of the SAP Activate methodology;
- Have expertise in Supply Chain and Manufacturing;
- Have a good understanding of SAP systems architecture as well as BASIS team activities;
- Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;
- Possess the ability to lead large-scale testing activities as well as release operations;
- This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada. Language skills in French and English are essential, both oral and written.
