IT Support Specialist

Job description
- Provide front-line technical support to users via phone, email and chat;
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to hardware, including computers, laptops and peripherals such as printers and scanners;
- Troubleshoot software issues related to Windows and macOS operating systems, apps, emails, and video conferencing tools;
- Handle network-related incidents, including connectivity, VPN access, and remote access;
- Provide support for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets;
- Document incidents and resolutions in the ServiceNow ticketing tool;
- Escalate complex incidents to higher-level support teams when required;
- Proactively identify and resolve recurring incidents;
- Maintain a high level of user satisfaction by providing quality service and communication;
- Participate in updating the knowledge base and training to develop technical skills;
- Keep up to date on technologies and best practices in the market;
- Meet service level objectives (SLOs) and performance indicators (KPIs);
- Perform any other related tasks.
- Have expertise acquired in companies with more than ten thousand (10,000) employees;
- Have between one (1) and two (2) years of experience in a technical support role, including in a service desk or customer service role;
- Master Windows and macOS operating systems;
- Have an excellent command of common office applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace;
- Experience with standard service desk tools, including Remote Desktop and SCCM;
- Basic knowledge of networking including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP;
- Be familiar with a ticketing tool such as ServiceNow;
- Demonstrate expertise in companies in the manufacturing, transportation, automotive or aeronautics sectors (an asset);
- Have worked for companies with an international presence and operations on different continents (an asset);
- Experience in a multi-site enterprise environment is an asset;
- This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada. Language skills in French and English are essential, both oral and written.
