Job description
- Provide technical and functional support for two Global Markets applications;
- Provide coverage between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. (winter, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.), rotating among team members, every third week;
- Analyze existing tasks and procedures in order to optimize and automate them using company-approved standards and tools;
- Support technical and business analysts in defining and understanding application issues in production environments;
- Participate in technical analyses to understand requirements, gather necessary information and assist with acceptance testing user for changes related to supporting applications in production;
- Demonstrate an ability to provide technical and functional support to business users primarily in North America, as well as at scale world;
- Be able to identify, analyze, resolve and follow up on production incidents in collaboration with application support teams, business users, infrastructure teams as well as internal and external partners;
- Master the diagnosis and resolution of problems related to data processing;
- Be available and thorough during disaster recovery tests as well as during changes in the production environment (evenings and weekends);
- Be able to collaborate with development teams and vendors to implement workarounds and ensure application platform level;
- Analyze and demonstrate an ability to improve existing procedures and tasks;
- Master the Geneos monitoring tool, improving its implementation and setting up the missing automated controls for applications;
- Analyze the current monitoring and alerting process in production and suggest concrete improvements;
- Maintain and optimize production-related procedures, processes, and tools to improve efficiency and enable the team to achieve activities with higher added value.
