Job description
- Assume end-to-end responsibility for AI solutions, including use case definition, technology choices, implementation, release and post-deployment follow-up;
- Understand customers' business issues and translate these needs into concrete and measurable AI solutions;
- Design, develop and deploy machine learning and artificial intelligence models adapted to the real constraints of organizations;
- Define and structure the overall architecture of AI solutions, in collaboration with technical teams, taking into account best practices, customer maturity and performance objectives;
- Oversee the full life cycle of the models: data mining, training, validation, deployment and monitoring;
- Ensure that the solutions put into production are robust, maintainable, scalable and secure;
- Challenge the complexity of the proposed approaches in order to favor pragmatic and value-creating solutions;
- Collaborate closely with data engineers and MLOps experts to ensure seamless integration of models into existing environments;
- Popularize the results, recommendations and limitations of AI solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Support, mentor and challenge teams of data scientists by sharing best practices and ensuring a high level of rigor;
- Participate in the drafting of strategic proposals, recommendations and deliverables for clients;
- Contribute to technology watch and applied research in order to integrate relevant innovations into our offerings;
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (data engineers, architects, business experts, etc.) to drive adoption of delivered solutions, especially in the energy sector.
Profile sought is as follows:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, organizational information systems, or a related field;
- Have a master's degree in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or a related field (an asset);
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in artificial intelligence or machine learning projects;
- Demonstrate strong expertise in machine learning and designing applied AI solutions;
- Implement and deliver AI solutions in a real-world context, from the ideation phase to production;
- Understand the entire lifecycle of an AI project;
- Master Python and the main ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, etc.);
- Understand data architectures (data lakes, pipelines, data warehouses), without requiring a specialization in data engineering;
- Apply MLOps practices (CI/CD, model versioning, tracking, and monitoring) to ensure reliable release;
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) in the context of AI solutions;
- Evaluate technical trade-offs related to performance, cost, timelines, and maintainability;
- Understand the concepts of data quality, governance and interpretability of models (Explainable AI);
- Develop AI projects or proofs of concept (POC) in a customer context (an asset);
- Work experience in several companies or industrial sectors (an asset);
- Apply Agile methodologies in completed projects (an asset).
