Job description
- Plan and coordinate the delivery of projects ensuring compliance with deadlines, customer specifications, and quality objectives;
- Ensure that internal and external technical documentation is complete, accurate and up-to-date;
- Ensure that deliverables meet the company's standards in terms of quality and compliance;
- Ensure that project delivery is aligned with the company's project delivery methodology;
- Inform the team of the efforts required at each phase of the project and ensure that they are implemented at the right time;
- Use project management tools to ensure traceability and visibility of the team's efforts;
- Ensure that the functional scope of the project is respected throughout its execution, and that any change request is validated by the client before being initiated;
- Manage project governance, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance throughout the project lifecycle;
- Work closely with the development team to assess the feasibility of projects and define realistic timelines;
- Act as a gatekeeper for customer needs, ensuring that the team remains aligned with these needs throughout the project;
- Ensure that the company's practice leaders and experts are called upon at the right time to challenge the team's technological and algorithmic choices, in order to meet customer expectations while respecting the scope of the project;
- Coordinate the team's efforts to meet quality standards and project objectives;
- Identify development opportunities for team members and escalate them to the HR manager as well as the corresponding practice leader if the development opportunity is technical;
- Address internal issues and promote effective collaboration between team members;
- Ensure that the right level of information is maintained within the project, ensuring clarity of the roles and responsibilities of each team member;
- Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and anticipate their expectations;
- Proactively manage customer expectations, quickly informing them of possible deviations in deadlines, costs, or project objectives; including the customer partner in discussions;
- Ensure regular communication with clients to answer their questions and maintain transparency throughout the project;
- Support client partners in the drafting of service proposals based on in-depth knowledge of current projects and available expertise;
- Identify opportunities in existing projects by collecting emerging customer needs, in order to develop new projects or services;
- Contribute to resource planning by anticipating project needs and optimizing team allocation to ensure efficient use of available skills and expertise.
- Have a bachelor's degree in business administration, mathematics, engineering, computer science or equivalent;
- Master's degree in a related field (an asset);
- Demonstrate real-world experience in managing and delivering projects integrating artificial intelligence/data science solutions;
- Have concrete experience in carrying out a project in data science / artificial intelligence;
- Good communication, organizational and expectation management skills;
- Have good interpersonal skills and ability to influence;
- Be familiar with the Agile methodology (an asset);
- This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada. Language skills in French and English are essential, both oral and written.
