Job description
- Lead the development and/or integration of software solutions and their deployment in Reitmans' system environments;
- Ensure that all potential impacts are covered in the unit test plan; translate complex technical requirements into effective unit test scenarios; identify non-conformances to specifications software, standards and design documents;
- Lead development project teams with resources at the same or lower level, or manage development independently;
- Provide in-depth expertise in the technical aspects of systems development, including database management systems and IT architecture, as well as expertise in programming languages;
- Use various analysis techniques to identify different solutions to problems and evaluate their respective value;
- Maintain, test, and debug subsystems of medium to high complexity; consistently produce defect-free code;
- Act as a content expert (SME) for the PeopleSoft HR, Finance and Payroll modules;
- Implement tax updates and application patches;
- Provide technical and functional support to all users;
- Maintain and support systems requiring complex changes and application improvements;
- Respond to system failures; analyze and resolve underlying issues;
- Evaluate existing applications for process efficiency, system integrity, security, and data quality; redesign and replace certain application subsystems as needed;
- Provide advanced technical support for customer data, including producing custom reports, extraction files, and other deliverables;
- To play a visionary role in the evolution of systems and programming standards; anticipate and propose new technologies in order to maintain the competitiveness of the organization.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience with Oracle PeopleSoft;
- Have experience with PeopleSoft HCM;
- Have experience in Oracle database development and PL/SQL programming;
- Demonstrate experience with PeopleTools 8.56 (asset);
- Have knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 or PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1 (asset);
- Demonstrate experience in maintaining relational databases, including stored procedures, performance optimization, and tuning.
