Job description
- Develop and maintain analytical data models used for advanced reports, dashboards, and use cases;
- Translate business needs into clear, documented data transformations aligned with established standards;
- Develop and maintain data transformation pipelines (ELT/ETL) in collaboration with data engineering teams;
- Participate in decisions related to the analytical architecture, including models, standards, patterns and semantic layers;
- Collaborate with data architecture consultants to ensure alignment between data models and analytical needs;
- Analyze data from SAP and other enterprise systems to ensure consistency, quality, and business understanding;
- Ensure data quality through testing, validation and anomaly analysis;
- Document transformations, data models, and business definitions;
- Work closely with business analysts to validate metrics, indicators and definitions;
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of the analytics platform, from raw data to consumption layers;
- To act as a reference in analytical modeling and SQL development.
The profile you are looking for is as follows:
- Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, business intelligence, analytics or a related field;
- Have a strong background in advanced SQL and data transformation;
- Master dimensional modeling;
- Demonstrate an excellent understanding of Power BI best practices (Desktop and Service);
- Understand data architecture concepts and contribute to their evolution;
- Experience with modern BI environments such as Snowflake (an asset);
- Know DBT (an asset);
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems and understand their data structures;
- Be comfortable in a role that combines technical expertise with an understanding of business needs;
- Popularize complex data-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
- Have experience in an Agile delivery context;
- Have expertise gained in companies with more than ten thousand (10,000) employees;
- Experience in the manufacturing, transportation, automotive or aeronautics sectors (an asset);
- Have worked in companies with an international presence spread over several continents (an asset);
- Operate in a multi-site environment (an asset);
- Work effectively in dynamic and unstructured environments;
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and new contexts;
- Demonstrate autonomy and identify the right levers for success as well as key stakeholders.
