Job description
- Participate in the identification of network requirements to ensure reliable and secure transport of data, voice and video communications;
- Contribute to the definition of technological orientations related to on-premises and cloud-based telecommunications networks and services;
- Participate in the design and certification of telecommunication solutions and architectures;
- Collaborate in the development and updating of network and service development plans;
- Ensure the evolution of systems and technologies in accordance with telecommunications guidelines;
- Maintain liaison between suppliers and technical staff;
- Update asset and infrastructure documentation;
- Carry out a technological watch in networking and telecommunications and analyze the impacts of new technologies;
- Provide level 3 technical support;
- Respect the deadlines of the mandates under his/her responsibility;
- Ensure the quality and consistency of telecommunication solutions;
- Deploy and maintain local and wide area networks;
- Collaborate in the production and analysis of reports related to incidents, capabilities, changes and service levels;
- Participate in the changes and production of telecommunications infrastructures and services;
- Implement guiding principles related to the design, deployment and support of telecommunications systems;
- Comply with the operating and security rules applicable to technological infrastructures;
- Ensure the transfer of knowledge to permanent resources;
- Participate in follow-up meetings and communicate progress, issues and possible solutions;
- Produce required technology impact analyses, proofs of concepts, test plans, deployment strategies, reports and technical documents.
The profile you are looking for is as follows:
- Hold an undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems, software development, or a related field;
- Have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in information technology, including five (5) years as a network and telecommunications analyst;
- Demonstrate experience in at least five (5) of the following areas: LAN/WAN networks, network protocols, IP telephony, telecommunications, Azure cloud, security IT, Firewall, IDS/IPS, ITIL v3, ISO 27001, Audit & Monitoring, Business Continuity;
- Have participated in two (2) mandates of more than one thousand (1,000) person-days in the last five (5) years, with a minimum contribution of one hundred and twenty (120) days;
- Know Microsoft Azure cloud environments;
- Master computer security principles and recognized standards;
- Understand methods and tools related to telecommunications and networking;
- Demonstrate an ability to produce technical and strategic deliverables;
- Demonstrate autonomy, rigor and a good sense of analysis.
