Job description
The team is part of a global support group to manage trade booking production for rates and credit bureaus. There are over 1,000 users of the system. The support team is in constant communication with developers, traders, intermediary teams and support teams aligned to the office.
In detail
- Support and operational maintenance of "tier-zero" application systems to meet the business requirement of high availability and high performance.
- Problem solving and analysis, directly from traders and senior management
- Acting the "gate keeper" for production operations by ensuring all aspects of the system stack are suitably controlled to ensure availability and performance requirements are satisfied.
- Release and version control of platform and desktop components.
- Obsolescence tracking – Operating systems, hardware and applications
- Project activities
- Working closely with development and infrastructure teams (underlying technologies in operating-system, database, middleware and network disciplines)
- Monitoring and implementation of new monitoring platforms and technologies (Dynatrace, OpenSearch, Grafana etc.)
