User Support Technician

Job description
- Support, diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues;
- Perform the installations and configurations necessary for the proper functioning of the software and office equipment, according to the specifications provided;
- Prepare and deploy equipment for newcomers;
- Perform preventive maintenance operations;
- Document the solutions provided in the ticket management tool;
- Write, maintain and update technical documentation and procedures;
- Perform activities related to account and access management, including account creation and deletion, security group management, and password policies in Active Directory and Entra ID environments, as well as for specialized software, IP telephony, and network printers;
- Escalate unresolved incidents within the prescribed timeframe in accordance with established processes;
- Participate in the application and compliance with cybersecurity best practices;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical support processes;
- Perform any other related tasks related to the mandate.
- Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) with a specialization in computer science and have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in technical support for users, in an IT service desk and in a Microsoft 365 environment or hold an Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC), a college diploma or Senior with a specialization in computer science and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in user technical support in a Microsoft 365 environment;
- Demonstrate very good knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows 11, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive), Active Directory, and Entra ID (Azure AD) environments;
- Have good knowledge and experience with the operation of network printers;
- Have experience with automated software installation and M365 tools such as Intune and Autopilot;
- Know the principles of basic antivirus, firewall and security mechanisms;
- Basic knowledge of ITIL processes;
- Have used fleet management and ticketing tools (e.g., Octopus, C2 Atom, ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.);
- Basic experience in scripting (e.g., PowerShell);
- Hold a class 5 driver's license (an asset).
