  As part of its projects, Cofomo is currently looking for a QA Manager to achieve a mandate with one of its client in Montreal.

The Quality Analyst Manager role is to plan, design, architect, and deploy effective test suites and regimes for in-house product development, software application development, information system launches, and operations systems enhancements. This individual will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate, and resolve systems/software application issues through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of IT investments and initiatives.

The responsibilities are:

Prioritize testing tasks based on goals and risks of projects and ensure testing milestones, activities and tasks are completed as scheduled.
Assist with estimation and planning, risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking and management of progress, issues, risk and resources.
Report the status of test planning, defects and execution activities, including regular status updated to the project team using quality metrics.
Lead the QA team in using test tools, defect tracking tools and other test support tools and identify and implement process improvements where applicable.
Coordinate with the Infrastructure teams that will be responsible for executing application load and stress testing
Ensure all sign offs on deliverables (overall test strategy, test plan, test cases, etc.) and that testing meets governance requirements.
Provide effective and timely communication with the release delivery teams, including release status, risk assessment and release health.
Ensure business satisfaction by communicating with them in a timely manner regarding release status, escalating and resolving issues as they arise.

The required skills and competencies are:

Minimum 8 years of experience in coordination.
Leadership/coaching and be strong in term of strategy and test plans.
Bilingual.
Proven experience as Senior QA lead or QA Manager.
Experience in creating Test Strategy and Test Plan (minimum 6 years).
Experience in large environments and have been exposed to different methodologies.
Banking or Financial Industry Experience (minimum 2 years).
Insurance Industry experience (minimum 1 year).
Experience with writing system functional specifications & User Acceptance Test plans.
CSTE /ISTQB (nice to have).
